About Us

A Rookie Rugby and Youth rugby club with a mission to develop the game of rugby in the Saint Louis & Saint Charles County area by building a love for the game in our youth. The Warrior Rugby Club will offer a non-contact co-ed “rookie rugby” aspect for U10 age groups and have controlled contact rugby for 5th-8th graders.

Coaches

Doug Reckamp

Former player and coach. Married to Tara, a RN. Father to four kids aged 8-15, all of whom attend Saint Joseph in Cottelville. Started Rugby career in 1992 in high school at DeSmet Jesuit high school. Continued playing career for men’s clubs KCRFC in the Heart of America Union the Saint Louis Bombers, SLU, and the Saint Louis Rambler RC in the Missouri Rugby Union. Former assistant at DeSmet Jesuit and SLU. Current member of Rambler Rugby Club. Level 200 certified coach with USA Rugby. Also certified CYC coach and certified SLYSA and US Soccer coach.

Colin Heath, PhD

Semi-retired player and current head coach of the St Louis Rambler Rugby Club. Starting playing rugby at the age of 8 years in the United Kingdom and have played pretty consistently into my early 40s. Am currently a level 300 certified coach and have been coaching men’s rugby for almost 10 years. I am married to a teacher in the Orchard Farm School District and have 4 kids aged 5-21.
